Meet the Creator of Best Personal Development Courses

Hey, my name is Sean.
I am a dedicated athlete, researcher, and entrepreneur.
My training includes certifications as a fitness trainer and nutrition specialist.
While I love striving towards my own goals, I also enjoy helping and inspiring others towards their own unique goals in life.
I created this site as a platform to share high-quality resources covering different areas of life that can help you do just that.
I am committed to sorting through the noise to find and share the most effective resources available, to help you achieve your unique goals, overcome your personal obstacles, and improve your overall life.
My Backstory
At the age of 11, I was diagnosed with a rare eye condition, and soon thereafter became legally blind.
While the loss of my vision changed my life forever and caused its fair share of challenges, I learned to adapt and didn’t let it define who I was.
To understand how, it helps to know that my condition, Stargardt’s disease, results in the loss of central vision—the vision used to see things in detail.
Even with contact lenses correcting my nearsightedness, my visual acuity is 20/300, and in the place of my central vision, I have a large circular blur.
Adapting required different strategies for different tasks.
For reading, computer work, and the in-depth research central to my learning process, I rely on magnification software and other assistive tools.
For athletics, this meant I had to learn to see the bigger picture.
I learned to use my peripheral vision, quickly piecing together shapes and outlines to process what was happening in real-time.
I had always been a good athlete growing up, and while this process of adaptation was challenging and shook my confidence at times, ultimately my core belief in my athletic ability did not falter.
This belief found its truest expression not in formal team sports, but in the freedom of doing things my own way.
I was the fastest and strongest of my friends growing up, and found simple joy in athletic activities like jumping, playing backyard football and wrestling.
I engaged in these both before and after losing my vision, later adding boxing, grappling, mixed martial arts, and lifting weights.

From Legally Blind Athlete to the Creator of Best Personal Development Courses
Most of my skills were self-taught through putting my own research into practice.
From learning the basics of things like boxing, mixed martial arts, grappling, and wrestling, to the true in-depth study of nutrition, strength training and bodybuilding, and athletic development.
Some accomplishments as a result of this method of research and practice include:
- Holding ISSA Fitness Trainer and Nutrition Specialist certifications.
- Performing a 225lb weighted ring dip, which to my knowledge is the heaviest lift of its kind publicly documented on video.
- Performing a 165lb weighted ring chin-up, which to my knowledge is the second heaviest lift of its kind publicly documented on video.
- Executing a 575lb deadlift.
- Completing a 325lb paused close-grip bench press.
- Completing a 54-inch standing box jump.
- Completing a 10’4″ standing broad jump, exceeding the average of NFL Combine running backs.
- Dunking basketball with two hands on a 10-foot regulation rim at a height of 6’0″.
- Winning gold in Cornhusker State Games beach wrestling against a third-place finisher in Nebraska State Wrestling who was ranked number 1 for the majority of the season.
- Achieving a 2-1 record in a Jiu-Jitsu tournament without formal training and competing up a weight class against opponents 40-70lbs heavier.
- Going from relatively skinny to gaining 35lbs while achieving a lower body fat percentage than when I was lighter, after years of consistent lifting and diet implementation.
Accompanying Pictures and Videos
I do not share these accomplishments to boast, but rather to provide context on my background and show the tangible results of applying what I have learned.
While fitness and athletics have been my main forte, I also enjoy the process of learning and making progress in many different areas.
Over the course of my journey, I began to develop a drive to improve in multiple areas and become the best version of myself.
I also found I enjoy helping and inspiring others as they pursue their own unique goals, in whatever way is most meaningful to them.
This discovery is what initially sparked the idea for the Best Personal Development Courses platform.
I have spent time researching other avenues such as general personal development, health and wellness, healing from past trauma, human psychology, relationship dynamics, spirituality, business and entrepreneurship, macroeconomics and investing and new emerging technologies.
While I do not claim to be a top expert in all of these areas by any means, I do believe I have a broad general spectrum of knowledge across many of them, and have successfully applied some of the things I have learned within them.
For example, I used foundational knowledge from business-related courses combined with my own vision to help me develop this very site from the ground up.
This journey of learning from a wide range of sources—including courses, books, articles, websites, scientific papers, following top experts and platforms, user reviews, forums, and AI-powered research tools—has given me a strong ability to sort through the noise and identify top-quality resources.
Combining this skill with my drive to achieve my own goals and help others achieve theirs is what led to the Best Personal Development Courses platform you see today.
